Kidding. Good job"

Lol, It’s funny you mention that...in the small amount of training I did, I tried to carry my Osagian 67 lb aluminum and it nearly killed my back after just a mile. I thought carrying the aluminum would be like running with weights. Turns out it felt like running with a dagger shoved in my back. My composite solo felt a world lighter after running a mile with the aluminum tank though!

What a beast! I still remember our first days of cross country running to Sibley Park, and how loud your damn feet were! Well done world record holder!

Lol, how have you been Rich?! We’re going to have to get out for a paddle, wet some lines and catch up sometime. Maybe my loud feet are why I’ve never seen a moose, bear or wolf on the portage trails? They sure felt like 1 ton blocks at the end of that marathon...

Spent the weekend in Ely for the marathon, my two oldest ran in Dorothy Molter’s Root Beer run and I ran the Canoe Portage Marathon. Longest “portage” of my life...8390 rods. The kids had a great time at Whiteside Park and a special thanks goes out to the amazing people of Ely that volunteer to make this event awesome year after year. My yoke clamp failed on me at Mile 16 and a volunteer at the aid station supplied me with tape so I could make a quick fix and continue. Thank you to everyone for such a special weekend!
