Just got back from Frost. Other than brief rain Saturday morning and cold nights it was perfect. Weird not seeing anyone else on Cherokee and sawbill.

A buddy and I we’re there two years ago at this time. We didn’t have rain but it did snow a bit and was cold but otherwise was a good time. Since we went during the week we encountered few people. After five nights we paddled out into strong headwinds-it always seems to be windy at this time of year when the weather clears.

I was out on foot co-leading a Powwow Trail clearing trip. We won the weather lottery for a late October clearing trip, just spectacular.

After the rain stopped and we had a late lunch at Trail Center it turned out to be a great afternoon for a hike on the Caribou Rock Trail. Sat 10/19

Don’t worry I had a headwind as well. Every time I visit there (3) I have had a headwind on the paddle out.
