Mention if you've been to (and camped), at previous BW Jamborees, as your vote will count as double. Voting ends at 9:00 Sunday 12/8/19. We will rendezvous, the evening of Sunday, June 14, 2020. Vote A, or B.... |

What do you see as difference between the lakes? |
||
Stumpy |
old_salt: "Just a couple of questions, 9:00 am or pm? PM. I think lake A has more camp worthy shoreline, but more shallow. I think lake B follows a fault line, and may be deep and hold trout. But who knows ? |

Why not a double bushwhack? Meet up on B then after 2 night go as a group to A then crash out together? It would make clearing trail and shuttling gear much easier. It could also develop some good stories and camaraderie. |

I'm a happy that this sort of stuff still happens in the snowflake age! Tom |

I have never been to a Jamboree, but I will be in the park during this one. My current plans would have me a few days paddle away from that lake on the 14th, but it is still just a plan, and I am solo. Looking at route options that might put me in the neighborhood, and it is an area I haven't explored. |

I have a partner who's "all in", but physically getting there, is the least of my hurdles. If I go, I plan to visit both lakes. |

I'm looking at this one and wondering where would one enter from? Gunflint, Prairie? This would be cool if done in the BWCA too. |

Harv: "Out of all these bushwacker jamboree's you've done how many people have made it to the designated lake including yourself? Well 1st one (2005) only Hexnymph & crew made it (6 in all). My group was so close, that Hex heard my Grumman banging in the brush. Group dynamics were our downfall. Second one (2010), 5 groups made it. 14 in all, as I recall, including myself. Third one (2015). Only Magic Paddler (solo) & some day trippers that don't count. This wouldn't legally work, in the BWCA. Too many restrictions. Can't gather with more than 9, for starters. Designated campsites etc.... |
