People have commented that he's similar to Chris McCandless only very well prepared himself. What amazes me more than anything is he said he dropped out of school after 4th grade. He mentioned going back for 9th grade but that was it. Spent a lot of time in libraries educating himself then talking to the local old timers of Fairbanks and picked their brains.
Not many people get to experience 20 wolves coming at you on a dead run across a lake.
