I have just four tents... Big Agnes Lynx Pass 4. Don't like it really. Too complicated, not very good. Mountain Hardwear Lightwedge 3, was my go-to tent for years and still my most-used tent, though the Enan is gaining on it quickly. Hilleberg Rogen, light and strong. My go-to for two-person trips now. My one person tent is a Hilleberg Enan. It's gotten the most use of any of my tents in the last few years. It's very light, very small, and feels like a mini fortress in a storm. While Hilleberg calls this a three season tent, it's better in snow than some four season tents out there. It's seen a lot of nights and a lot of miles in the last few years and still basically feels brand new. |

MSR Papa Hubba.. My Favorite of my tents.. It is always nice in the rain to be able to setup the rainfly first before setting up the tent, so it stays dry inside! |

Very old Eureka Alpenlite. Probably from the late 1980s. I used it through my 2018 trip. One heck of a tent, but replaced with one 3 pounds lighter in my old age. |

Eureka Backcountry one man. Big enough for me and my 90 pound Labrador Sherman. He loves the tent. At sundown, in he goes, at the crack of dawn, out he goes. It's outfitter grade, a little heavy, but tough as nails. |

DanCooke: " Looks like a Nammatj 2 or Nammatj 3. Do you find the angle at the back of the tent to be restrictive? |

This is a Big Agnes Big House 6 i bought many years ago and got a lot of use out of. Then one year my buddy decided to be a camp host at Lake Shetek State Park for the month of September and into early October. Most camp hosts have nice to fancy rv's or trailers that they stay in but my buddy borrowed this tent and you can see how he set it up. He was quite comfortable in it. He is also pretty much fearless and left the door open for the entire 42 days with the exception of one major rainstorm. Not me:) Unfortunately this long usage pretty much spelled the end for this tent, the UV damage affected the small triangular window in it and it cracked so bad it leaked after this trip. I brought it back to REI with the hopes of possibly getting a new fly so I could continue using it - they refunded me the full amount in a Gift Card!! The good old days. |

Nammatj 2. Worked great in 45+ mph winds on Insula. Not much head room, but a great 4 season tent. |

Have used this tent for around ten years. One of the best camping gear investments I have ever made. |

awbrown: "CCS Lean+ CCS Lean+ is a CCS Lean with the bug screen, right? So does that mean we could call one of Dan's regular tarps CCS Lean-? I'm not sorry for my silly ponderings. I'm bored and want to go camping, but I can't yet. |
