Haven't paddled it, but did backpack it completely last summer. "

Mind sharing a quick capsule review of the experience?"

I second the request - we have looked at Pukaskwa pretty hard...

Heyo,
I don't want to hijack this thread, so I did a little write up about Pukaskwa and my experience in the On Foot forum. Link

djwillco: "Awesome. Haven't watched these in a while! We watched them all in school growing up in Canada. Gotta get my kids to watch "Paddle to the Sea" for the first time. Joyce Mason is my moms cousin, and one of my fondest childhood memories was going to visit the Mason's and getting to play with the actual Paddle to the Sea model used in the movie! Bill was a wonderful guy."
I had no idea this was a Bill Mason film. We watched at a grade school assembly back in the early 70's. (reel-to-reel film) I did lots of day dreaming of being in a canoe after that.

Dan,

I have plugged your name into my Youtube search function several times but found the results less than satisfying. I'd gamble you have a fully formed audience waiting for the "Youtarp" video series.

Another audience waiting for you to pass down your clearly abundant knowledge is every hipster dude trying to duplicate your magnificent facial hair. Maybe something like "Beard and whisker maintenace made easy"

Just spit ballin'

Thanks for the link

I was so suprised when I moved to Minnesota that eveyone here my age had watched it in school back in then too! In duluth a couple of years ago I found an illustrated copy of the book and bought it to read to my kids. Loved it.
