One thing I really like is you can’t hide behind an alias and, on many forums, that helps to self regulate. If not, leave and find another or make your own.
Having said that... Zuckerberg is evil." Lots of people on Facebook under an alias!

Facebook is a plague, a scourge, a detriment to society and humanity. The only way to kill it is to starve the beast. You are its food. Voluntary prey. Do yourself, your family, your country, your world a favor; delete your account. Don't look back.
Congratulations; you've manufactured both peace and time for yourself.

I've been in since the beginning, but I like this site more. More personal, or maybe its my hatred for Facebook, even though I am on it quite a bit. I have wondered if the creator is on this site though.

I agree that Facebook is a scourge, even though I am there a lot. But for purposes of connecting with people over canoe country, this site can't be beat.
I love the fact that the topics can be organized into forums and that the threads are easily scanned for their topics. Facebook is just not "organized" at all.

Facebook is about the only way we can find local news of what is for sale at various farms and also what is open for takeout which is very limited in a twenty mile radius. They are not all open every day. Websites don't tend to update as often.
As seafood brokers have closed, we have to find what fishing boat is offloading lobster and other seafood and the dates. FB has been handy for that.
But this forum works well... and I wonder why a BWCA FB page.
Finding archived topics on FB is next to impossible! You can do so here.

What is Facebook? Just asking for a friend.

It duplicates a lot of what's posted here in the message boards, right? I joined the FB group, thinking why not?, but don't have time to engage in duplicate discussion.
