Princess Peach on Fourtown, Aug. 2019 For this dog to sit so still for so long is highly unusual. She's usually quite hyper, jumps in the water and swims and swims and swims. Her brother, Yoshi, is just the opposite and very chill. |

Luna (15 weeks) and Bondi (11 weeks) spent 4 days in BWCA with Sam and Amanda. The picture was on Ima Lake after a long day of paddling. The best part was how happy people were on the trails when they saw one puppy, than a second right behind! Pro-tip, you can buckle leashes into your life jacket during portages! |

Location... possibly the Herriman Trail, but really I don't remember. He'll be 9 this year. Best dog I've ever owned. That's his trademark look, one ear forward, the other to the side. |

missmolly: "MrFeesh: " May not be the place for it but, A fish story: Wife and I are fishing from the canoe drifting up a narrow channel, me in the back and Lilly in the space right in front of me. Wife thinks she got a snag and lifts it up to find about a three foot Northern on and swings it back to me to unhook. She has the fish's head above the water, dog and I are looking at the fish, the fish is looking at us. I get the words "you need" of, you need to give it some line he doesn't even know he's hooked yet, when we see that fish start winding up for a run. Well, he comes shooting straight up over the side to land right where the dog is, but the dog isn't there any more, she's in the lake on the other side of the canoe, neither one touched the side of the canoe. So, pull the dog back in, fish floppin all over in front of me, lures between my feet, wet dog in my lap, wife feeling guilty trying not to laugh... till our eyes met. Still chuckling. |

This is Aiden in late May 2019 on Clearwater Lake (Gunflint Clearwater). While this photo isn't the height of artistic composition, there's something about the expression he has and the moment that is captured that I really love. He has as deep an appreciation for the wilderness and these trips as we do, and I feel like you can see a hint of that in this photo. My apologies for the rotation--the photo appears correctly everywhere else, and no matter what I tried, BWCA.com would just not display it correctly. |
