Hooray for first paddles of the season!
I also went out for my first paddle yesterday on the Rock River in IL. Most state parks in IL are now open and we took out at one.
It was also my first fish of the year too. Practiced the TGO method with a leech.

I finally got out on the water this year! And I finally got to try out my new Magic! It's only been gathering dust since last September. A beautiful day to be on the water and I had an enthusiastic partner (though I think we need to work on her paddling technique a bit).
