Good or bad depending on how you look at it.

There have been some very heavy storms passing through the BWCA and Quetico today. Lots of heavy rain, wind, and lightning.

This is the storm totals but there are still plenty of storms moving through. I'm seeing more than 3" in places west of Ely. I hope everyone is doing OK. I'm thinking there is some storm damage in places.

Sounds like the whole arrowhead needs a good day-long soaker that ends up with a few inches total. But not lightning....already a couple small fires started from that it sounds

Sounds like they started at least 4 small fires - 3 between Trout and Vermilion (real small) and one (8 acres) in the Sundial PMA.

I'm also hearing about a fire near Cedar Lake in the SNF outside the BW, which I'd love more info on since my camp is relatively near there...

A good start perhaps, but I worry that when you get that much that fast, too much of it just runs down to the lake - not enough is absorbed into he ground and plants.
