Good reminder...


If there is a storm, we always get out of our tents, because you can't see that tree that is falling from inside your tent.

Edit...

We also don't stand together when it's storming.

What's your "trees are snapping!" storm plan?
What I've been doing is scouting out rock ledge for shelter when I find a campsite, that and using the InReach for weather updates. Something to huddle by (with ditch kit!) if the trees start falling. And try to find several so we can spread out if camped with others. The daughter of one of my colleagues was the woman trapped with broken legs in the 1999 windstorm while her husband had to go paddle for help. Harrowing story.
