Well, had my first Bear encounter at the campground on McFarland Lake. About 3AM Monday. Small bear. Had a small garbage bag with a few fish remains since we got back to camp late, temps were cool and set them aside until morning. Guess the little guy got hungry. Came and went without incident, kind of neat actually. Wondered if anyone else had the same encounter?

Down by Cambridge, mn. Had a friend tell me a bear was wrecking their crops. I was baiting last Monday and a bear walked right up to me to 10 yards. My buddy took pic while he put up the ground blind.

Cant figure out how to add pics from my phone..... im dumb:)

We had a small bear in camp in August on Pipestone Bay. My wife was at the privy, I was sitting on a log in camp. My pack was packed and leaning on a tree. It saw me at the same time I saw it. It stood watching me as I grabbed the bear spray, a few steps away. ( I told my wife she could bring it as long as she carried it. ) I wanted to teach this young bear a lesson, so I charged right at it. It ran over to the trail to the toilet, and started down it toward the wife. Whoops! Not good. Luckily it veered off and stopped in the brush watching. I pursued it growling, trying to sound threatening . It ran off in the direction of the next campsite. My first bear sighting in camp in 52 years, though I've seen several on the move. I might add the campsite was clean as a whistle.
