I would say if you did day trips, then answer yes. There is still input you can have from being inside the park.

WHendrix: "It's not clear what constitutes a "Trip to the BWCA". Do you want info on overnight trips into the wilderness only, or other trips as well ? I was in the BWCA on 4 occasions this past year and took day trips into the wilderness on each one, but I'm not sure if that is what you want to know."

Yes, it was hard to know how to answer. We take a trip "to the BWCA" every summer and this year was no exception, but since 2013 we only do day trips in the BWCA due to health concerns. I answered "no", but since we actually did drive from Michigan to Minnesota and stay there for a week, canoeing on Poplar Lake and taking one day trip, it seemed somehow hard to answer that we DIDN'T take a trip "to the BWCA." If my answers skewed any interpretation, sorry about that.

A couple of the questions are not readable. "Did you get a permit for an entry point and date yo" has nothing else. NOt sure if it is this computer will try when I get home on home computer. Can attach a screenshot if needed as well

IronRangeMike: "Old couple had the balls to pull up 25 yards down the beach and start cleaning fish. "
It boggles the mind that people would think that's ok and a courteous thing to do. The BW is a million acres of wilderness and they just HAVE to clean their fish within sight of someone's occupied campsite. They may be experienced BWCA paddlers, but they're also experienced at being the south end of a northbound horse.

May 18-25 in through Mudro for the annual boys walleye trip and 4th of July weekend into Isabella with the wife and kid. Parking lots and entry point lakes were packed but didn't see any more people than usual once past the second portage....

No dipshittery to report on the spring trip. Just the usual fun with the boys, bellies full of walleye, and limits packed out.

Isabella was pretty quiet considering it was a holiday weekend, it was kind of last minute as I looked at permits and was able to still pull an overnight permit for Friday July 3rd in June.

Got there early Friday and grabbed the beach site as the good unburned two were both occupied and I didn't want to go to the south end and risk losing the beach site. About half way into setting up triple portages worth of gear, effin kids hahaha, the groups on the good sites packed up. Ces't la vie.

Old couple had the balls to pull up 25 yards down the beach and start cleaning fish. I went and let them know they weren't legally far enough from a campsite and that I had no desire to smell their fish guts all weekend. They cleaned fish anyway and left me to clean up the rock they used. I called them douchey tourists and cussed them out a little. They went on to say they're experienced BWCAers and well within their rights. Had they not been elderly, and I not been with my family, I might have gotten nastier and drove them off before he got his knife out, but decided it wasn't worth making a scene over.

Kind of put a sour note on the start of the trip though and reminded me why I, like most locals, don't go in between Memorial day and Labor day. Far too many asshole swampies.
