Anyone remember those wood 3D topo lakes that were posted a few years ago? Looking for a link.

Walgreens calendars with some choice 2020 pictures for nieces and nephews and friends. Gift certificates from a couple of struggling local restaurants. Home-baked muffins and apple tarts for some neighbors and friends (including our doctor and financial advisors). Cash (and maybe a muffin) for our mailman and garbage collectors.

For my wife I bought two new ice fishing rods and reels, a load of tackle, a new Strikemaster 40 volt ice auger. She doesn’t like ice fishing last time I checked. Hahaha

Gifts are bought for grandkids and kids... but it’s not the gifts... the time we spend together will be priceless. All nine grandkids in one place will be a great blessing...
Excuse me, gotta take em sliding. Desert will have to wait a day...

! That's a favorite ! John is a real gem. Have been buying our 1/2 beef from there for years. Best bacon, pork chops, and sausage, too. I will miss ordering our prime rib roast from there this Christmas, as I think that 13 lb would be a bit much for the two of us this year... :-)

Well, they aren’t shipping right now which is why we made the 5 hour round trip drive

I hope everybody would consider just buying things from your hometown small businesses. Many small business are struggling to survive during these difficult times...

Walllee, I understand what you are saying. However, I couldn’t find what I was looking for at our “small businesses” in new ulm. ( I’m excluding Walmart and menards since they are chains). Thielens meats in little falls (no relation to the shop in pierz Minnesota) is a small meat market. I think supporting them feels good, also supported a gas station in their community.

No gifts for the two of us this year. We thought that we have been richly blessed this year despite all the troubles around us. We have been given so much, there is little we need or want.
We won't be able to be with our Grandkids and will be sending their gifts to them.
We had to cancel our Christmas trip to Arizona due to Covid concerns. So we will stay home with Prime rib and crab legs, and have a nice quiet Holiday together.

I have been doing a bit of shopping on-line and wonder what others are looking at and purchasing for gifts.

My purchases so far:
... Two Northface sleeping bags for my car camping daughter and son-in-law.
... Two Luci lights for daughter and son-in-law.
... Humminbird Helix 5 ice locator... for self.
... Bean hiking pants... for self.

What are you buying this season?

Purchased a mattress topper for our 15 year or so old mattress. Did not wait for the mattress to get too far gone to help with leveling. Is working out well and may give us another 10 years of use for the mattress, It could actually outlast us.
