Interesting they are all the same color.
Over the years seeing dozens of wolves.
A lot of color variations is pretty normal.

one thing i thought was cool , you can see in there eyes how much that nose is communicating to their brain.

So cool to see this! I noticed the tail on one being only about 1/2 the normal length. Wonder how that happened. Thanks for posting!

I'm even more intrigued as to how the project captured that video of the pack on the move. They must have tracked the pack to determine a route the wolves used and placed trail cams to get that incredible trail film---in the daylight no less!

I noticed that too. It is one of the last ones - maybe the omega of the pack - and got it nipped off at some point? He is one of the more skittish of the pack.
Very interesting video - thanks for posting Shock!. That group has a few more videos on their Youtube page. The one about Beavers Seeing Wolf Ambush was interesting and amusing. I seem to recall a study done not too long ago about a pack un Voyageurs that mostly ate beaver - not so much deer or moose.

Great study-they got a lot of game cameras out and GPS collars on quite a few animals.

Same group from The University of Minnesota and same study. Diet depended much on tome of year. Believe one wolf or maybe it was a pack killed 40 beaver they know of and last spring one female with pups they recorded it killing 20 fawn deer by itself(which in that short of time is much above other studies observed).

i actually saw a wolf cross the G.F.T. right in front of me while i was driving to seagull , it was carrying like a 40lb beaver in it's mouth like it weighed 2lbs , everyone else was sleeping ,, too bad for them ;)

The cameras do make a little noise and I have had bear bite or swat about a dozen game cameras of mine over the years. Usually they just push the camera around the tree.
You learn so much from game cameras and what a great hobby.

The pandemic has gotten us into backyard trail camera'ing as well. It's so fun to see what comes through on a nightly basis!

Driving out of Sawbill a couple of years ago one crossed the road in front of me. Didn't seem to bothered that I was there.
