Funny, that's exactly what I was going to choose. I'll go a little north and try Rocky.

After paddling through several portages and finding most campsites occupied, I finally found one that was still open and quite appealing.....

Well, I mean this in the best way, but nobody has been very close....here's a photo facing southwest......and a photo facing northwest....are those palm fronds??
I expect my next photos will totally give it away....

If your finger wasn't in the way blocking some of the scenery in that first photo, I might be able to figure it out!! :)

That happens a lot with my little Nikon point and shoot....about the size of my palm and so fingers tend to hang where they shouldn't....like too close to the lens.... :-)

Awesome fish and great spot to stop for a lunch, but not so much to camp.

Well, time to end with a winner. Try to ignore the fish in the first pic, which is facing northwest. Son hooked into it as I paddled from the stern. Son said, "Dad, I think this is a big one". I merely replied, "Uh huh." Son says, "No, Dad, this one's huge" When it went nuts next to the canoe and almost spooled him, I realized it was a big one. I paddled a couple hundred feet to a small island, where we landed it and took the quick photo. Then spent 5 minutes or more to get him revived before he swan back to the depths. 41 inches with a huge girth.
The second photo is my son taking a well-deserved rest about 200 yards from the first photo. This photo is an iconic spot in the BWCA.

I will post something tonight.
