I don't know why descriptions like that that aren't on the USFS website, but the 30F designation has been the same for 9 years now. It was added the spring after the Pagami Creek fire.

Thank you. My real question then would be why is it not mentioned in more places since there had been a change.

The dates I might be interested in going have permits for 30F but I know that the rules for that have changed at least once. Finding the information on Recreation.gov or on Superior National Forest website is pretty difficult. The last I knew it restricted to nothing west of Lake One but previously it restricted to not camping on the number lakes. Does anyone know what the current regulation is and where to find it?

"This is a restricted Lake One permit. Camping on the Kawishiwi River west of Confusion Lake is NOT allowed.Camping east and south of the Lake One landing IS allowed including Lakes One through Four, Hudson, Insula, and beyond."

This is a restricted Lake One permit. Camping on the Kawishiwi River west of Confusion Lake is NOT allowed. Camping east and south of the Lake One landing IS allowed including Lakes One through Four, Hudson, Insula, and beyond.


Click on the entry point name and it gives you a brief decription.
