Thanks so much folks. Most of the pure aluminum with no protection I was trying to avoid. I think I have found a suitable pair and they should work perfect for me. I'm looking to make my own fishing thwart that sits on top of the gunwales and is clamped from top with a large black knobs.
I would like to mount my fish finder on there and also double for storage of quick items via bungy cord (needle nose pliers etc). Additionally I plan to cut small slits at one inch intervals facing me so that I have a fish measurement tool already installed. Should also be able to hang a map from it for my backup navigation. I might even mount one of those half snow globe looking compasses on it for quick direction checks.

I just made mine from a piece of aluminum 2” x 3” . I use 3/8” flat stock drilled a hole in it the size of the carriage bolt. Used some heat and bent them. Pounded the square of the bolt into the aluminum so it wouldn’t turn and found some knobs at the hardware store. You could use thinner aluminum flat stock. Similar to the one in the Boundary Waters catalog, but costed just a few dollars. If you make them like Karl’s you won’t have to worry about bending the flat stock.

Mine are similar to some shown, but wood instead of aluminum for the bracket.

I use bike seat clamp quick release bolts similar to the attached and then use either aluminum or wood to make the bottom of the clamp. Quick and easy along with light weight. Just make sure they are large enough thread diameter and lengthy as they do very. Clamp

I got those from Spring Creek Outfitters in Mtn Iron. They are not on their website, but I believe they were not the last time I got some. I gave them a call and they hooked me up.

Northstar sells yoke clamps on their accessory page.
I think the picture you show is a Hidden Valley Yoke and those clamps are a little different than the ones from Northstar. They are also different than the gunwale clamps Spring Creek uses on their outrigger mounts. But maybe they sell the Hidden Valley type too. I'm just pointing that out in case you need exactly the clamps pictured.

The Spring Creek ones may not be the right ones for a yoke. But look at the ones on their canoe motor mount. Those might work better (only one hole and knob). Maybe those are what they can sell separately.

A piece of aluminum angle, a bolt, a knob and a spring.

I have a pair that was made from half a piece of alum tube.
I think they came from one of the board members here.
