Wow
I hadn’t been checking out the photos much last year, but the winning picture is awesome!
Mlohned, is Ansel Adam’s your Grampa or Great Uncle or something?

Mlohned: "Wow! I wasn't expecting to win the monthly contest, let alone the overall contest - especially with knknapp's amazing moose shot! I love the low angle/depth of field, the lighting, and how those kids look like they've completely worn out their mom.
Thanks for the votes!"

Yes, the mom looks like she is wondering why she gave up the chance to be a moose model for BWCA.com to be a stay at home mom. Ha ha

Congrats to the winners!

As rough as the cow looks, I wonder if she survived the winter after putting out as much energy as it took to feed 2 growing calves. Does anyone know the life cycle enough to know how long moose calves take to ween?

That was gracious of you. And congrats on the win! Like Dylan Thomas instructed us all to do, you forked lightning.

Those are stunningly beautiful photos. They are excellent examples of photo composition and exposure alone! I love the lightning strike.
