Life is but a breath. Which means it is already short. I would not skip ahead. But, there is an internal battle with anticipation.

I don't have any skin in the game, as I don't have a trip coming up.
But I will say this.
Every day is a gift.

The thread about Tick tock/Tick tock raises a question. How many of you would agree to skip forward to your BWCA trip in exchange for not living the days you would give up. Is there a number of days you would give up to achieve this goal?
For me, the answer is no and no.

I am on the fence. I am ready to be done for this school year as it has been brutal. If you told me I only have to teach 2 more weeks instead of 7, I would leap for joy. But I wouldn't want to skip too far forward because I am still trying to get in shape!

Spartan2: "Every day is a gift." It is, indeed.

I’d have to say no to skipping ahead. For me, the anticipation and excitement that builds in the weeks leading up to a trip is part of the fun. I love the last minute emails, calls and supply runs that inevitably happen. Although, they happen less with each trip as we become better and better at preparing.
I hope everyone experiencing the tick, tock as their trips approach has a fantastic trip! Funny story, my wife is doing her first solo hiking trip in the Kek/Snowbank in a month and I’m so excited for her that I’m getting that tick tock feeling for a trip that I’m not even doing. Lol.
