I've rigged up for Lake Trout many a time on that portage landing.

I agree, definitely a memorable one. I have very few pictures of portage landings, but I have multiple of that one.

I also like this one. It was the first portage of our last day of a seven day trip, and set the tone.

It is Oyster! Pine Knot and Jerryr are both correct, both at the same time. It appears PineKnot is first.

Too late with Oyster and Little Shell so I’ll say Beartrack.

Savage Voyageur: "Jackfish: "South Temperance" Sure looks like it, right?" Kind of like from the campsite in the NW corner. Not exactly, though... and I didn't have a better guess. :(

I don't know about the rest of you, but I really dislike those rocky, ankle busting landings and avoid them if at all possible....but, that is rarely the case, except for example the portages to/from Agnes to LLC where you can either take the rocks, or the boot-sucking mud....I choose the latter always.....
