This was on Burt Lake in Quetico in 2011. I liked the way the light lit up this small section of granite.

Normally we get chipmunks or gray jays begging for food; but this little fellow (hermit thrush) offered to help with the dishes at our North Bay Quetico campsite.

Nice picture and lucky to capture that one. It is actually a clear wing moth. Sometimes mistaken for a hummingbird as well. One cool insect! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the Identification! I think I took about 50 pictures of this as my cousin was curious what it was, but never took the time to identify. That same campsite, I even got a picture of some type of ant killing and carrying off a big caterpillar.

Nice! I dig the theme of this month's contest. It's amazing what can be observed if we take the time to sit, watch and listen.
