Wonderful trip up through Shade, Grey and Shan Walshe from North Bay with a night on Yum Yum--all jewels. The portage from McNiece to Kahshahpiwi was grueling though. It was late May and it would be challenging without the mud, bugs, the steep ups and downs and downed trees. we were never so happy as when we finished that one.
