"Rank" increases with participation in the forums. The number of trees in the pine tree bar goes to 5 when a member has posted 500 comments, it appears (I think that's when I got my fifth tree). Two trees, fewer than 50 posts. Three trees, fewer than 100 posts. Four trees, between 100 and 500 posts. Not sure about the wolf pawprint or pinecone designations. Put your cursor over the bottom left corner of the tree bar and you can see the post count of a member.

I was trying to upload a pine tree legend but I can't get photos to upload anymore....not sure where my technology is failing....maybe I'll figure it out tomorrow....

I just got down my personalized bottle holder from its place of honor. It was created by dicecupmaker for when I passed 4,000 posts. It has my moniker, the flying moose and the paw print. It also has the name "Mitch Anderson."

I've always thought that the pine cone is a sort of frivolous and less-than-distinguished icon for so-called master members, but it reminds me of kanoes, so I let it pass.
My only suggestion, a while back, was to transform the 5 trees into more realistic white pine silhouettes.

I'm just being cautious. In the old days, we would sometimes lose entire threads of posts. I believe that I probably passed the 5,000 post mark, but lost enough to keep me at the 4,000 mark. Whether I would have lost my ranking, I don't know.
(I was a bad boy. I posted in some threads that became nasty.)

This may be addressed somewhere already, but when hovering over the trees to look at number of posts some say senior member, distinguished member or just member. What are the criteria for different designations?
