I will tune in the CBC the Canadian public station. Lot's of good programming there. At night especially when weather is clear you can go to AM and find stations from all over the country. I remember years ago listening to a Chicago White Sox game coming out of Boston.

Those options would be perfect.

Loved searching the AM dial in the evenings. You can pick up stations from all over the country

Chad - YaMar on his solo trip with a small radio would likely be hard pressed to bother even the Chadiest of Karens. Unless of course if he... stayed up catchin' wild trout till the break of dawn..

On the west side, I really enjoy KBFT 88.9 out of Net Lake whenever available. Radio-locator.com is a good resource.

Remember all the days in the pond
Catchin' wild trout till the break of dawn
Now that you've become a man, looking very mean
Got a nice shiny sports car, keep it very clean
Don't ask him what it was, tell him what it is (2x)
Sing the song now:
Ya mar, ya mar, ya mar, ya mar,
Ya mar, ya mar, ya mar,
I got an oh kee pah
She used to be a vampire child, walkin' in the yard
Now that she's become a woman, lookin' very proud
You used to wear a piece of cloth tied around your head
Now she looks so good, wanna love you dead
Don't ask her what it was, tell her what it is (2x)
Sing the song now:
Ya mar, ya mar, ya mar,
Ya mar, ya mar, ya mar,
Ya mar, you no good pah

This is the greatest post I’ve read in a long time. Thanks for the lulz.

I’m going on a solo trip in a few weeks and am planning to bring a small radio to keep me entertained at night. Any radio stations known to come in well within the bwca?

I bring a small (CCrane SKYWAVE) radio which is used only for NOAA weather reports. I am a radio listener too but only at home and while driving. I'm not going to be a Karen and tell you to not bring your radio but do please be considerate and keep the volume down. Noise really travels over water and the folks on the other side of the lake might not appreciate hearing your radio.
