Just back from BWCA. Spent a day on Ramshead. The water level there seems to be about 2 feet lower than a few years ago. Deepest water we found was just over 9 feet deep. Any ideas about why the drop in water levels.

Ramshead is full of 25 to 30 inch pike. Easy to catch around and in between the islands. Oyster is great for SMB and is really full of Lake Trout. We have not fished Agnes or Nina Noose very much.

If you are going from Nina Moose to Ramshead, take a break on Lamb lake and do a little fishing. It can be a fun lake.

That was our thoughts on the matter. Just wondering if anyone else had any information. The pike fishing was still very good and we caught a few crappie.

I'm not familiar with that lake, does it have an outflow to a creek with a beaver dam across? Large drops with lakes are usually because a beaver dam washed out or was taken out.

Could be a blown out beaver dam on the river. Beavers built a dam about 10 years ago.
