Awesome!!! totally enjoyed that. You can tell how beloved the man is by his band and the crowd, that was cool. I think after an hour or two of watching Joe do his thing I’d be worn out, he definitely brings it. I had the one album Cocker on cassette back in the day, always liked that one.

The imagery appealed to me then, and it’s still talkin to me now.

Awesome. Saw Joe play in front of a private group (impromptu, I think) of maybe 15-20 people at the Grand Butte Hotel in Crested Butte in ~1990. Thanks for sharing; brought back memories!

I got to see him at a small venue in Springfield MA many years ago. Amazing artist.

shock ... I saw Russell live at Chicago Stadium in March '73. He did a lot of the Carney album plus some Dr. John and bayou blues. It was one of the first concerts I ever went to and it remains a favorite memory all these years later. I was so pleased when I found the Live album that came out around then. When I listened to it on my stereo I always felt like I was reliving the concert I saw. It really felt special to me.
