I have a trip coming to Quetico. Though I don't post here much I continue to come here and search for "things" to get input. You all don't know it, but you have been helping me through your past discussions, sometimes a bit "spirited", and such.

So ... thanks.

Hey, WonderMonkey--
I'm happy to see that you're headed back to Quetico--I remember posts from your 2019 trip where your efforts to get to Sarah were thwarted by group dynamics and the "broke-back canoe dam" incident. Also saw your post on Freeleo1's recent trip report that you're heading through Sarah to McIntyre. Hope the trip is fantastic, the fish are biting (and the bugs are not!), and that you're aren't hampered by group dynamics or gear failures. What's your entry date? We're headed in later this month.

Youtube of solo paddler through McIntyre and Sarah
Here is a video report Solo Schmitty put up of his trip through the area. It looks like McIntyre had some green areas left. So it is not all burned. He didn't say when he went but he mentioned the fires that had been through the area and said that he had been waiting to go until after the Covid closure, so it is probably post fire.

I'm hitting the water on September 2nd. My main outdoors buddy and his son are on this trip. There shouldn't be any holdups as far as expectations go.
