No, but it sounds like a good idea. I do take my large key ring and phone out of my pocket before the scale.

Of Course! Light shirt and pants (shorts, if it's during warmer weather) over briefs and that's it! Shoes are removed and my wallet/keys/phone are either in jacket pockets (also removed) or hand held and set down before I step on the scale! :)

Does anyone else wear their lightest paddling clothes - nylon zipup pants etc - when they go to the doctor for a checkup, in hopes that the scale comes in a pound or two lighter when they weigh you?

You should pitch this to REI as a marketing strategy for their lightweight pants and shirts!

I’d be the guy that cut out 6 oz of clothing only to find 4 lbs of stuff in my pockets… after I weighed…

I bring fresh baked goods to my doctor's office regularly. One time during a height and weight check I was told I was 5'11" so I pointed out that I've always been a touch over 6' and unless they don't want any more treats I expect that I'll always be 6' tall and they agreed.

No, but I do attribute the extra 25-35 lbs the MD wants me to lose my attire.

No, but even before your post I had been considering it to accentuate some weight I’ve been losing.
Justpaddlin… I hear you. I now fear the height measurement more than being weighed.
