I wasn't aware of any sale, but I'd probably miss it if it were.

Hotel reservations were made for March 7-9.

I don't think it was sold. They built a nice new store and moved locations a little while ago.

I was able to call and reserve a room at clarion. Only 5 left for the canoecopia weekend. Not sure who set up the conoecopia block, but thank you!

HoriconMarshPaddler: "Odd that Clarion is booked up already. I've made reservations in the past few years, as late as 1 month before Copia. Wondering if they haven't released all the rooms yet for reservations?" I noticed that ever since post pandemic Canoecopia that the Clarion was always booked full in November. I have a friend that booked it in September this year because he missed out trying to book it in November last year.

Mocha: " Canoecopia 2025 Looks like more info on presenters will be posted in February.
I thought Rutabaga was sold? Hopefully the new owners will continue this event as it's really very necessary to the outdoor sports enthusiast!" No - Rutabaga moved - built a brand new, beautiful building in a location closer to the Alliant. Has a pond next to it. Very nice.

AHHH.... that is probably what was in my memory.

I tried to find a Canoecopia 2025 post, but I was unable. Is there one already? Pointe me to it if you can, and then ignore this post.
However, I plan on going this year. I'm late getting hotel reservations, as the ones close by are taken. I'm going to make reservations probably tomorrow, is there one that is close to the yearly meetup dinner?

My wife and I will be there again. Hotel reservations are made. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
At some point, Adam and I will be talking about dinner venue, cost, and all those sorts of details. We'll keep you posted.

That's actually what I was originally looking for. I've never attended a dinner so I wasn't sure when the thread normally showed up.

Darren is still very much the owner of Rutabaga. His weekly email musing are worth the subscription to their e-updates.

Yes, yes, thanks for the reminder. I used to get the emails, but quit using my old hotmail account a few years ago - just signed up on their website to start getting them again. Hoping to be there in March, haven't been for a couple of years.

cowdoc: "I don't think it was sold. They built a nice new store and moved locations a little while ago." Agreed. Darren Bush, the longtime owner, was around the new store earlier this fall and is still listed online as the owner. He's also on the '25 Canoecopia page as currently working on matching exhibitors to the floor plan.
