The credit for these books goes to the original author, Robert Beymer. His detailed profiles have helped paddlers since the first edition in 1979. I had the privilege of updating the books in 2009 and am now working on the next update. Appreciate contributions from forum members.

I’m a freelance writer updating a best-selling BWCA guidebook. With the understanding and permission of the bwca.com administrator, I’m reaching out to ask for a few minutes of your time for a telephone interview to talk about your experiences at your favorite entry point and routes. Please message me to start a conversation. Thanks

If you'd like a first timers perspective my family and I are going up May 26th thru May 30th. I plan to detail as much as I can on waterproof notebooks.

I'd be happy to talk about it. I've tripped 1-3x/year for the past 22 years.

I'm here if you need me! I've been going since the early 90s. I've tended to go a handful of routes, probably the most popular, but I'm glad to help in any way that I can.

Thanks for your note and willingness to share your experiences. Is there a convenient time to call to discuss how you could help?

I’m open most afternoons. All day Wednesday and Friday this week. Let me know what works best for you.

Take care,

Lou
