SHOCK-
Can you give me a little run down on your method of grilling (?) the LT? I have used tin foil pouch. We tried straight grilling them with no basket this last weekend and it didn't turn out well. Those pictures may be the best cooked lake trout I've seen in my lifetime.

Site #455 is $$$ , deeper hole on the north side of this campsite for lakers , south side more pike , walk out to the very point cast out to the northside of that point (you'll see the rocky point jetting out from shore) i always bring in dead bait (3"-6" sucker minnows) frozen in layers in a little six-pack type cooler, slip sinker set up on bottom. If that site is taken , my 2nd choice would be site #462 , a couple other alternatives would be sites #2133 maybe site #463 ,,, site #448 is another nice point to fish from BUT it drops off very deep , more for casting than deadbait on bottom and a fairly exposed site with a north wind in your face , A NICE trolling stretch is from campsite #462 troll south , (stay on the outside of the islands , to and past the rog portage , we get a lot of hits on the turn in front of the rog portage , (sucken island) (check out google maps satellite imaging.) feel free to message me for any other questions. use caution when canoeing the west end if the wind kicks up, if not able to get past 3mile island because of wind try to get to site #446,,,, Tight lines ! pics from site #455

We’re going in at Seagull Thursday for our 1st Laker trip. I’m interested in the fishing from campsites on Seagull. Any favorites?
Thanks! Fritty

" , Thanks GR , Pan seared in very little oil , skin on , the seasoning i cant really remember as i'm always experimenting (but i'm sure it had garlic powder-black pepper-seasoning salt) , but i'm sure it was a McCormick brand. i'll throw this one out too , 1 year i brought in a couple of those Norr's powder mix of Bearnaise sauce and 1 pint of milk. boiled up a big pile of lake trout and pour the bearnaise sauce over the fish and it was extremely tasty , My buddy said when the hell you come up with this ?
