The Round Lake area had a few ripe blueberries this week. Most are still green. Many ripe raspberries!

Do the blueberries last into August? I’ll be in Boundary Waters the second week of August.

Oh man there will be a lot of blueberries this year. And a lot of purple bear poop on the portages.

Last week we had blueberries galore. Not huge, but it looked like about 1/3 were ripe and no mosquitoes until 9:38. ??

Do you freeze them and any special way? I know there never as good as fresh.

Berries in general are really good this year with the rain we've had.

Right now Strawberries and Juneberries are ripe and larger than most years. Haven't looked for blueberries.

Some years the berries look good than no rain and they all dry up and are small.

I wonder if the POW Wow trail would be a good berry area, that area was fair before the burn?
Maybe I got to bring the headset and it would be fun to canoe maybe down the Island river day tripping picking berries.

I am not a good picker tho,I get bored fast.

Blueberries are big, early and plentiful this year. So are the mosquitoes.

I have no idea the area reporting ripe blueberries at this time, but it will be sometime in August in my area. They should be abundant this year.

I do. I wash them, drain then in a colander, then pour them out on a coated paper plate in a way they don't over lap. Then I stick them in a flat place in the freezer. It doesn't seem to matter if they touch. They don't last that long, so I just put the frozen ones in a freezer bag that has little headway.

Agree with the berries report. Can't say we were bothered much at all this past week by flying insects of any kind.
