GRAND MARAIS — A missing Wisconsin man is believed to be somewhere in the Pine Mountain Lake area off the Gunflint Trail.

Wayne Storch, 74, of New Richmond, Wisconsin, has been missing since Sept. 18, and his vehicle was discovered Wednesday alongside the Gunflint Trail at the trailhead for Pine Mountain Lake, the Cook County Sheriff's Office said in a news release Thursday.

Cook County Search and Rescue, the U.S. Forest Service and other agencies are searching for Storch.

I just said that out loud before I saw your response. That is not a good time interval, even in the summer.
