Sneidl12,
That is a beauty! You've really captured a moment of wilderness and solitude. I'm headed to Disappointment in August. Thanks for the preview!

Taken on Rose Lake this May. My favorite spot for a hammock. Exposure was 1/4 sec at f/8 and I used a graduated neutral density filter and tried boucing a flash off the tree limbs above. Seemed to work.

ShimmieShakes - Thanks for the feedback. I am glad you enjoyed the picture. After tackling that portage between Sandpit and Mudro the photo almost didn't get taken. However, I convinced my canoe partner that taking photos is a nice way to rest before venturing onward. I think too often we rush over the portages to get to that perfect site or lake and "miss the forest through the trees".

One of those wonderful BW moments. A early evening storm blew in and had us pinned down under our kitchen tarp for a couple of hours. We were just about to call it a night when the rain stopped and we were rewarded with this wonderful site from our camp on lake Polly on our last night out the Thursday after Memorial Day.
