I finally found the pic I really wanted to use for this contest. When I go to my original post I thought I would be able to edit it and switch out the pictures. Could have sworn there has usually been an "edit" icon but I can not find that. Mods, can I submit another photo and ask for the first one to be removed as an entry? Please delete my previous picture and consider this one. Taken going into Alton Lake. |

This picture is of my 13-year-old son, Jonas. We made our first visit to the Boundary Waters with Boy Scout Troop 9's high adventure crew from Indianapolis. Day 2 of our trip included 5 portages. Here, he took a break at a landing between Birch and Knife Lakes, on our way to visit Dorothy's Island. Images like this will be printed into our memories for the rest of our lives. What an amazing place! |
