It was windy so I chose two smaller Lakes joined by a very small channel. I found a Moose skeleton on an island, saw Loons, beavers, and King Fishers. The ice just went out and some of it was piled up on shore. Saw a black bear yesterday. I had to work yesterday doing fires, my normal days off are Tuesday and Wednesday. My new canoe should be waiting for me at the office. A 16 foot Ally folding canoe. |

quote Frenchy19: "The first time I saw this post, I immediately looked at the pics without reading any of the text. I thought, Forest Lake? No way in hell is that Forest Lake! Well, I was thinking of the Forest Lake just north of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, and your Forest Lake is much, much more beautiful!" Funny you mention that, after I posted I got to thinking, I wonder if people will think it is the Forest Lake you just refrenced. |

quote LindenTree3: "Weird double post." Better than a weird single post ;) I'm sure putting one of those together takes some practice to get it done quicker. Is that 16-footer designed as a solo? btw, about how much does it weigh? |

I just unpacked it and will try it out in a week, I'll keep you informed. The assembly sounds a little trying until you get used to it. A pic of it out of the box. |
