TomT My 1st solo was a week later and was a loop trip. I was moving nearly everyday, so much of my time was spent breaking camp, traveling, and making camp. I got tired of making/breaking camp so much. I decided, that for my next solo, I would base camp, day trip from there, and fish more. Much of my time will be spent exploring and fishing. One of the things I enjoyed doing in camp on my 1st solo was carving. I'll take my carving knife and a small piece of basswood, look for some carving wood along the way, and carve while in camp. I have taken carving lessons since my 1st solo, so the results should be better, emphasis on should. I will also do some birding. My first solo report, btw, you commented on it! 1st solo
