Did the loop water levels were excellent, more moose than people, wine is an awesome lake with lots of lake trout, 480 rods portage’s are not fun, ticks make me angry. I’ll post a trip report when I have time

I’m putting in tomorrow (Monday) and while I’ve been watching the fire ban closely I haven’t been watching the water levels. Now I’m worried my plans may have to be adjusted. I’ll talk to Sawbill in the morning and figure it out. My backup route has me staying on lakes that only have one campsite so that’ll be fun too.
Ill let you know in a week how it goes. I suppose I should go pack. Happy paddling.

There are worse things than going from Sawbill to Frost and then just staying on Frost Lake.

It's my favorite lazy trip. Work your tail off day one and last day, then in between nothing but days of easy trout fishing in mid/late May, sand beaches, hard to beat.
