Small world, my paddling buddy's daughter and family just moved from there this past year; his son-in-law worked for the NPS at King's Canyon. I kick myself that I never made it out there while they were living there!

We have photos and vids that show us those wonderful sites.
I try to imagine how Muir must have felt when he first saw some of those amazing places.
He had no real idea what he was about to witness.
I can see how he was so taken by that wilderness.

Just ran across this quote and thought I'd share it here....

Great quote. I think being alone in nature with one's own thoughts is a very good thing indeed.
