I read a trip report a while back, where the individual had a small aluminum, pyramid shaped dealy. It was probably like 4"x4"x8" and was used to burn small twigs inside to heat up a small amount of water. It had a small door on the side so you could feed more twigs into it. Then when not in use it would fold down practically flat.

I don't know if anyone knows what its called or where to get one, or even if you know who's trip report it was. It was a solo tripper and he went without a tent. I am just trying not to go searching through trip reports.

Same concept. Just a little different then the one I saw. It should do the trick though. Thanks everyone!

It almost sounds like a home-made reflector type oven ... because one could use it to bake stuff in or on top of the fire grate.

But what it is exactly called escapes my mind at the moment.
