Yeah, I wanna see another video trip report, too. Actually, just yesterday while packing up my house, I found the written report you made for last year (I had passed on the video after I watched it, though). Good times!

I hope you have a great and marvelouse trip, Paul! May it be all that you are hoping for, and a learning experience to boot.

Gives you a good opportunity to compare them side-by-side under identical conditions.

I have just about EVERYTHING packed and ready. Heading out on the late afternoon of July 29th for WCPP. Taking Molly the lab, never done that before, taking a yak paddle, (may not use it, as not sure I like it) Never took yak paddle before. Flying into Artery Lake and ending up on Donald Lake. Getting picked up on Donald lake by float plane.

I am heading out on Sunday July 31 and Getting back to Red Lake on Saturday August 6 and driving home the 7th. Using Red Lake Outfitters, for booking plane rides.

I hope Molly likes the plane ride. I am getting darn excited!

I'll bet you are getting excited! My fall solo is two months away and I'm getting excited.

Are you also taking a straight (or bent) paddle?

Have a good trip.

I was the same way with the yak paddle at first. I still can't use it day after day. I think it's good to have both. Once you get it down it's a smooth way to go. In wind I found it to be the greatest help.

As far as Molly... She'll be great. It's amazing to me how well dogs adapt to canoetripping.

And as far as your trip? Awesome! What a cool route! I'll be looking forward to hearing about it. It would be cool to fly in or out let alone both. Seems like the ultimate trip to me.

I hope you and Molly have a great time Paul. It will be fun to have a dog along. Don't forget Molly's rabies vaccination documentation for going into Canada. Someone I know forgot theirs and they made them go back to the nearest US Veterinarian and get a booster shot.

Looking forward to hearing about the trip.

Yesterday I got an email from Claire from the WCPP. They lifted the fire ban, just asking folks to be extra careful. Wow that makes me happy. Had Pizza with reflector oven planned for two meals, Blueberry muffins, and Pork Chops on open fire first night...
Hard to do those things without a FIRE!

Water levels lower than usual in WCPP and Dry up there do to unusaul heat from this summer.
