Looks like a nice tent for one person. Hope it brings lots of times in the woods for you.

I just purchased this tent online, and I cannot wait until it arrives! Looking forward to testing it on an upcoming trip in mid September; will provide a gear review when that trip is complete.

The Carbon Reflex looks to be a great UL 2 person tent. I just hope that you didn't have to pay full retail for it.

Should be nice, if I had waited, however, I could have picked up a real nice Nemo that I just saw offered for sale on this site:)

Frenchy- I'm going in Cross Bay 9/25, down to Cherokee and then north and east to exit through Lizz to Poplar.

What are "the spreaders?""

the cross pole that makes the side walls vertical."

Got it, and I agree; they provide for so much more usable, vertical space.

No, I got it @ backcountry.com for 299. It's the 2011 model, so it only has one door, but I only plan to use it for solo tripping so one door should suffice.

I thought you were in the bush??? It is not a freestanding tent, but when you stake in the corners, wham-o! I set one up @ the REI in Bloomington, and it sure beat the heck out of the sarcophagus! Lot's of room inside for one.

BTW-I'll be in the Winchell area from 9/14-9/17. While I know the chances of our paths crossing are virtually nonexistent, I will be thinking of you and sending you positive, happy vibes! Be safe, Ben!!

Looks like a nice tent, Frenchy. What are you going to call this one -the mausoleum?

Let us know how it works out for you. It looks like you'll btripping in the same general area I'm going into a week later.

The mausoleum is a good call? Or, perhaps the crypt? When and where are you going in?
