I understand you're from Ireland. I'm curious how you came here (USA) and how you got hooked on the BW? Would you mind indulging us?

quote IBFLY: "Tom - It's quite simple really and not all that exciting. I came here on a plane and got hooked on the BW because it fit my soul - just the same way it hooked the rest of you addicts.
That's the short version :)" Good answer.

Does Ireland have good canoeing inland? How old were you when you came here? What's your favorite beer? I'm a guinness lover.

Ireland doesn't have much in the way of canoeing - inland or otherwise. At least not the way BWCA and The Q exist. There are lakes of course but tend to be isolated from one another - portages would be days long so they're suited best for day paddles. There are also rivers and a few do canoe them. There are beginning to be more kayaks (though we call them canoes too) but the seas can be quite rough. I've heard of a few people kayaking around the whole of Ireland. Everyone thought they were mad.
I love Guinness too - though I drink less of it here. It's just not the same milkshake here as it is back in Ireland. Beamish, Murphy's, Smithwicks, all good. I tend to drink more of the american microbrews here because, well, why wouldn't I?
