I start my week in the Quetico on Saturday. I will be entering at Prairie and head first to Agnes to say hello for a few minutes to some friends that will be camping there and then head up the lake to take the Silence Lake cutoff and head north. I am really looking forward to it, still in the solo novice stage despite more group Q trips than I can count over the years.

Have a great time (you will)! And remember, when you are soloing, you get to do exactly what YOU want. So pay attention to what you want to do as you go along . . . not an agenda you think someone else may expect from you (and that "someone else" might be yourself when you were back home).

Enjoy. My first trip ever we went through Agnes to Kawnipi and first campsite ever was on the island just west of Louisa falls. How long do you get to stay this time?
