I am planning a trip in May and I was wondering if anyone else would like to go. I would be leaving the quad cities on the 19 after I got off work then we can meet up and be on our way. What I am planning is base camping on sag. Planning on entry point 52 then go through gutter, green, bat, Gillis, French, Powell, west fern, virgin, then sag. And would be heading back out on the 24 or 25

Is that Memorial Day weekend in the middle of that? Might be interested if my family trip doesn't materialize for that weekend. Tempting. Did a partial version of that in reverse from Round to Tusk and out Gillis to West Round. Going the other way would be preferred if the winds cooperate on Gillis!"

Yes memorial day is the last day out

Enjoy your trip! We may see you on that Memorial Day weekend when we drop off our rental at Tuscarora. Never know :) Weather looks like it's going to improve throughout this week. Hope the fish are on the bite for you as well.

Hm.that's the week I have on my vacation planner at work. I recently purchased a solo canoe I haven't even had in the water yet. I am interested. I have been on a couple group solos before. Have never been to little sag. You say . "leaving the cities" I assume twin cities.? Maybe would get together and discuss it. Pete

I live in Illinois on the Iowa border I would drive through Minneapolis to pick you up if you are interested in going. I also have a new to me used canoe that I have not got in the water yet. But as soon as the ice breaks down here I plan on getting it wet.

Wrong time of the year for me, but there are plenty of local paddles we could figure out and maybe do a group solo overnight before your big trip. A gear test sort of thing."

Sounds great Ben any time you are able to make it let me know. The rock river is still froze solid

plumbbob, I'll keep this on my calendar. I'm in the twin cities. Might be able to make it and head out a bit earlier if I need to....looks like fun trip -- and good shoulder season fishing!
