Yes, that is very high quality trip video. I would think he's a professional. I wish he'd knock off some of the mugging to the camera but other than that it was very enjoyable.

This paddler has posted some incredible videos to his Vimeo account. I think they really capture what a solo trip is like. Try to watch these and not want to go canoeing!

I thought the same thing the first couple times I watched it, but now I think it's an essential part of the storytelling. Otherwise, it would just be some dude paddling around.
