Anyone enjoyed the Boy. Nice placid route which begins at Inguadona Lake and ends at Leech Lake. My wife and I just completed the route last weekend. We were fortunate to find a spectacular primitive site offered by a resort on Boy Lake for two nights of tent camping.

One thing about the Boy in August though, it's a jungle out there...literally. There are stretches where the river is so choked by wild rice growth that the route is almost indiscernable. Paddle hard!

The gear - Ouachita 15'6" square stern, packs by Duluth Pack, Big Agnes Parkview 3, Big Agnes down and Wiggy's lamilite bags, MSR Dragonfly, Grey Owl and Sawyer wood, St. Croix rods and Calcutta baitcasters.

When I was 10-15 years old a friend and I often floated fairly long stretches of the Boy in inner tubes. Canoe trips too. Great memories.
