Hi, I'm taking a group of paddlers from my local paddling club up to the VNP. As trip leader I'm thinking about how to contact someone in case of emergency. I have been to the VNP before, but it was over by International Falls and the whole time I had cell service. This time we're going out of Ash River and I'm wondering if anyone has any idea about service in this area. Thanks!

Sorry to hijack this thread, but do you have a route planned? I've considered VNP but the idea of having to reserve campsites ahead of time makes me wary of getting stuck at a campsite without a reservation due to bad weather.
