We went up it about 3/4 mile from Wisconsin. It was cool. Scoutmaster remarked he had done it a while ago and it was nice.
I'm looking at Sugar now - New Glarus to Rockton - maybe for a Veteran's Day weekend

Nola, I have never paddled it, but have camped, trout fished and hiked along the Kickapoo. Love the area, very beautiful and a short trip from Madison.

I've traveled the area many times and have seen many canoe liveries, so people beyond count have canoed it. It's a narrow, twisty river and would be great if it weren't for people.

Nola, I know Bannock has paddled it, but he's been a little scarce on the board lately. Might want to try sending him an email or posting on the General Discussion page.
I grew up near Gays Mills - the Kickapoo flows right through town - and, amazingly, have never paddled the river. Just wasn't into canoeing when I lived at home. Have to do it sometime.
